Maryland Residents have until January 1st, 2018 to comply with the new Maryland Smoke Alarm Law requiring:
- The replacement of older battery-only operated smoke alarms with units powered by sealed-in, long-life batteries
- A
hush-button
feature to be equipped on residential battery-operated smoke alarms to temporarily silence the alarm if activated by a non-emergency condition
